Aquaman should be the third part of the DC trinity of heroes rather than Wonder Woman, as it would perfectly complete the parallel to the Olympian pantheon, with Superman being Zeus, Batman being Hades and Aquaman being Poseidon.

Wonder Woman doesn't work as a Poseidon parallel. She should be equated with Ares, as she's the warrior among them, Green Lantern with Apollo, due to his connection with light and manifesting dreams into reality, Flash with Hermes, which speaks for itself, and Martian Manhunter with Dionysus, which is admittedly the loosest connection, but they're both beings who were driven from their homes and forced to wander while taking many different forms and names
