Actually OP made a msitake, the term most often used by americans and russians who are both doing their bombing campaign currently refer to them as "ISIL" while kurds and other assorted middle-eastern forces use the term "Daesh".

I agree it's a pretty unpopular sentiment to think that the US secret service had something to do with the emerge of a powerful anti-assad and therefore anti-russian force after the only russian allied country in the middle-east was the only country where there was no concrete change in government after the arab spring and that the CIA especially has a over half a century of history of supporting allies that later come to bite them in the ass, but it's still not proper to do something as rude as telling someone else to go back to reddit.
