In case you didn't hear yesterday, Don Bluth and Gary Goldman are trying to get a Dragon's Lair movie made. This kickstarter is just for a pitch video that they can shop around for more funding, but if this works it will be a big deal for several reasons.

- Don Bluth returning to film
- 2D animated major motion picture
- It's Dragon's Lair holy shit

How could you not know? This was a thing being talked about since 2005 if I recall.

Kinda old news really because he never really got anything off the ground after Bartok the Magnificient. The last thing he worked on.

If he can use kickstarter to get things going then by all means I would be happy to see this.

With a name as big as Bluth, I bet every person in the animation industry will gladly donate half their yearly income to it.

Not all kickstarters for animation reach their goal immediately after the campaign starts (Save for Wakfu; man those last few days were fun).

If a goddamn Swat Kats kickstarter can be successful then this better get funded too.

That actually succeeded? People threw $141K at them to get a two minute preview for a project that in all likelihood will never be picked up? Well at least they'll get some new(?) designs to draw porn of.
