I think the only definitely A-list characters to get MAX series were Thor (probably not A-list at the time, though) and Wolverine.

Marvel might be stingy, since almost every other run starred a borderline "literally who?" Even the Black Widow mini used the blonde one instead of Nat.

Turns out Frank's favorite movie is "Apocalypse Now," I like machine Frank, but in his old stories he was allowed to enjoy somethings, is this a reflection upon larger society? He was essentially an action hero when well written, now he's a brooding machine, Edmonson I felt attempted to tap into the action hero roots of the character, with a heavy paramilitary spin.

Me personally, I think there's three MAX Punisher universes.

The first is the one included with 616 which would include Daredevil, Spider-Man, and Wolverine's appearances from Ennis' Punisher run. I think there was a Civil War profile book or something where Tony Stark makes reference to events in Born when talking about Punisher's profile. So it'd be just Ennis' Marvel Knights and MAX Punisher stories but not The End or Fury MAX or anything that contradicts 616.

The second is the Ennis MAX universe, where it goes with what he intended (only other Marvel character is Nick Fury, Castle was born in 1950) and ends with either Valley Forge, Valley Forge or The End. This also includes Fury: Peacemaker, Fury MAX, and My War Gone By but not any scenes that included Spider-Man, Wolverine, Daredevil, and other superheroes. So Welcome Back, Frank happened without Daredevil in it, but Confederacy of Dunces, Wolverine slicing up midgets, and all that didn't happen in this one.

The other is the PunisherMAX one, which has some Ennis stuff happen but only if it allos for the changes in Jason Aaron's PunisherMAX (like for instance, Aaron has Castle being born in 1947 despite evidence to the contrary in Ennis' run--notice how in The Tyger Castle says he was 10 in 1960.). I think Wolverine MAX and Foolkiller MAX and Cage MAX and all that stuff could fit in with Aaron's PunisherMAX. The Ennis superhero stuff probably didn't happen here either given Aaron's Kingpin makes no reference to Daredevil, and Wolverine was never a superhero or member of the X-Men in Wolverine MAX.

It does? I know it ends with Frank saying "I wait for the end," but I could have sworn that took place in the mid of his career, The End is under the Max label, but exists independent of Ennis 60 issue run, it was one of many End stories.

Ive never heard the Cell leads to the End, nice idea though. In the canon he got revenge for his family early in his career, not at the end of it. Having it happen at the end defeats the purpose of the character..

I thought that at first based on Castle's line in The Cell at the ending of the story, but when I reread The End again, it doesn't quite gel. In The End, a prison guard was saying the reason Punisher got caught and put in prison was that he got old. In The Cell, Castle preplanned his capture and said he'd be able to get out of there (and as >>77034231 mentions Castle makes reference to The Cell in his first MAX arc).

I personally over the course of a decade, guided my stepfather who molested me for the decade before that, to his own suicide.

each step in the process was carefully planned, I stripped him of his wife, by convincing her to leave him (my real biological mother who knew he did it but stayed with him) got him fired from any job he stayed at through anonymous tips called it.

then I took care of him, took him into my home, at his lowest point, I re-introduced him to alcohol, he'd been clean for 15 years.

about 6 months later he was so wasted at all times, well he had a blood condition, you see, a type of Leukemia, made his blood thin, and well he stopped taking the meds, so he eventually went on a real binge, and had a stroke.

no one heard him for hours, my step-brother eventually heard him and he was braindead by this time.

and then, sadly, made the decision with my family to have him cut off life support.

very tragic.

I enjoyed every second of that decade.

Kind I love Mexico. It's where my moms from and my family is from and I grew up on stories of Mexico.

If you go there I will track you down and drag you back to America. Outside of the designated tourist areas it's a fucking hellhole.

Yes they do. But if you stick to the family places you're pretty safe. The tourist industry brings in a shitload of cash and a portion of that goes illicit almost immediately so it's protected to a degree.

Kidnapping still happens though.
