So apparently Don Bluth has finally come out of hiding and is looking to push for an animated theatrical feature film of Dragon's Lair....again. Of course, like most kickstarters, the $550,000 goal is really just going into a movie pitch and promotion for the project.
To be honest, as much as it would be interesting to see another movie by Bluth again, I cant help feel that this Kickstarter really doesn't look all that convincing. I mean, some of the rewards are pretty neat, but there's more just old out-of-print material here than anything that's exclusive to the movie. Not even a work-in-progress reward, like a 'proof of concept' short film (really you'll just be getting the ultra rare Dragon's Lair blu ray that hasn't been seen since since 2007). Plus,.....Don Bluth directing.....
