How can a gene make you manipulate reality? And why is every other evil 80's mutant only interested in hunting down other mutants?

He was still a superbeing who probably has a latent x-gene. His Asian twin sister's a mutant telepath. And his crazy older brother was also a reality altering mutant. Jaspers had it out for mutants, mutates, mentats, magics, monsters and anyone or thing not normal.

What is she then? I remember from the Moore stories, they never said the word mutant, but she and her buddies were all psychics of some sort, and she first started out with precognetic visions before the psychic butterfly and knife came about.

My memory is fuzzy so this could be wrong. You know that palace with Saturnyne and the palace and whatnot where all the Captains gather? That general area. None of her family are technically human so much as they're human looking. I'd call them fey if I wasn't worried it would cause confusion with an actual race of fey in the MU.

...I'll be honest, I'm not remembering a concrete motivation off the top of my head for him, other than him becoming more powerful as people suffer, or something like that. Similarly to D'Spayre, but on a more astral level.

Originally just trying to get back Genoshan "state property". Shitty country underneath the shiny futuristic facade, yes. However, they were just trying to retrieve expats at the end of the day.
