While that movie was just bland and forgetable, I still would love to watch the Imagi Gatchaman movie.
I always preferred Gatchaman (or "G Force" for that matter) to Astroboy.

The only parts I can remember really liking in Astroboy was how they handled the animation when he started finding out about his powers and that one joke about the kid not being able to read.

The villian was so fucking bland and that "twist" with Hamegg was so lazily done to me. Also what the hell was up with that robot trio? It felt like they forced them in because they felt like some areas of the film weren't "funny" enough.

I liked this movie. More Tezuka works need adaptations.

Sucks that Imagi went out of business. I think they had potential to be a pretty good studio.

Not OP but Megaman was originally made for an Astro Boy game but it was scrapped so far into the development so they repurposhed all the assets for an original IP.

Movie Tenma just wasn't mean enough. In the Manga, he was a monster who's purpose seemed to be making Astro's life shittier.

He spews abuse at him for not being his dead son. He then shouts at him for trying to be his dead son. He literally sells him off to the fucking circus. When someone builds him a family, he manipulates events and demands them to be dismantled.

It's just so fucking ridiculous how mean he is.
