>>77058909Finally you have the "epic" runs which can be extremely fun to read. These take five volumes or more and can last a long time.
Some famous ones are Green Lantern by Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison's "Bat Epic", John Byrne's Superman, The Flash by Mark Waid, Justice Society of America by Geoff Johns, and New Teen Titans by Marv Wolfman and George Perez.
These are where you'll likely really fall in love with the characters and universe over a long period of time. Following them is usually as simple as buying the first volume of the run and going sequentially from there.
So in conclusion, if I were you, I'd read Batman: Year One, Superman: The Man of Steel, and the first volume of the Injustice comic (you'll probably hate it once you've read many more comics, but it's extremely newcomer friendly) while thinking about what characters you'd like to see more of. Once you're done with those, come back and ask for some more recs based on what you've read so far, since putting a giant list of books in your hands right now will only overwhelm you.
Comics can be bought for pretty cheap on Amazon or InStockTrades, Comixology has very frequent Steam-esque sales if you're OK with digital, and you local used book store likely has a massive selection of trades (essentially just another word for "volume") for half cover price or less.
And if you're a cheap fuck comics are easy to find on regular torrent sites and our very own Win'O threads where you can feel free to make requests, and can be read with programs like CDisplay on the simpler side and ComicRack on the more robust and organizational side.
