Hey /co/, what do you guys think of this comic series? Saw them on sale recently, not sure if they're worth getting. Kind of want to though in the spirit of the season and all.

Picked up the first omnibus a while back.
The comic adaptation of the movie is cool because the writers of the movie were involved.
The rest are okay. A majority the one liners are from the movies. A bunch of the stuff that happens are rehashes of movie events.
Feels like fan fiction overall, but the later ones might get better.

I found the series immensely hit or miss (mostly the latter) and gave up on it completely around the time Ash went to a post-apocalyptic future (I think this was directly after the Marvel Zombies crossover).

The movie adaptation had some great art by John Bolton. Some of the crossovers are kinda fun but generally they're just sort of okay.
