Ralph Bakshi's latest film, Last Days of Coney Island, was released today. If the trailer is anything to go by, it looks like it's mostly pencil tests with color added. What happened?

Its either a style thing (i do like the collage backgrounds) or just budget, since its just him apparently
Looks interesting, to say the least, but I don't really care for the style of animation
