Their characters fit well together.
Tweek is always nervous, always afraid that people are judging him and out to get him. But Craig doesn't care about nearly anything, he's too apathetic to appear threatening to Tweek and thus isn't as bothered by Tweeks more... eccentric behaviour.
The only thing that really pisses him off is selfish assholes who rope him into some stupid situation. Case in point: Peruvian Pan Flute episodes and his 'Reason You Suck'-Smackdown on the main-group.
What about Tweek? Well, Tweek isn't selfish at all. The opposite actually: He always questions wether what he is doing is okay with other people, so a person like Craig, who simply doesn't care, will not be bothered by him and not fuel his paranoia further.
Clearly they will make each other happy, and therefor, the world.
