I was a bit disappointed by Age of Quiptron. I enjoyed it, but it's was very memorable.

But this short Vision and Ultron scene is my all-time favorite capeshit moment. I'm not sure if Whedon wrote it, but if he did, then the rest of the film has no excuse for being what it was.

You can probably chalk that up to the scene have 2 good actors in it, the rest of the cast ranges from mediocre to really bad. Also, that CGI cape looks awful.

Whedon did indeed write it.

He can do great stuff, but gets dragged down by his desire to put jokes in every scenes.

I see it as part of Vision's character. It didn't come across, to me at least, as an lol random quip. That line was showing Vision accepts that he was a machine created by Stark. When he said that, it made Ultron angry, because he didn't want to accept that he was made by an inferior human.

The difference between Vision and Ultron is that, while both recognize that they are superior to humans, Vision wishes to live alongside them.

When he wasn't Quipbot 9000, Ultron was a really good villian. I wish they had expanded upon his inferiority complex. Despite being superior to humans, he still could not accept the fact he was man-made.

yeah, but there's gotta be better ways of conveying that without a quip which felt like it was the thing he wrote the whole scene around.

It's not as bad as the other quips, but at that point in the movie I had already got tired, and it's kind of a cliché on top of that.

If this really were Ultron. Then it was to allow them peace of mind.
Ultron is arguablby the master of contingency/back up plans.

Even when he believes with 100% certainty that he'll win this time, there is a back up tucked away and ready to activate upon his failure.

I always say Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen were the two best possible casting choices for the roles. Up their with JK Simmons as JJJ.
