There are many great things about this issue, but I have one tiny beef with it. Magic mechanics.
I'm a huge fan of magic not being easy, convenient, or ever used at all without a cost. The idea of a skilled witch just belting out a rhyme and having wish fulfillment happen is over done, and doesn't work for me.
I'm waiting for the next few issues to see how magic is explored and explained (if the author does it at all), and I'm hoping to see some creativity happening.
And yes, I'd be cool with an explanation of "she built up a reservoir of energy over weeks and just expended it in that one moment of need." or something similar. I just think effects should have a cost, or it's another cape comic.
