>>6519097Surprise is always kinda fun. Like, "oh, shit!" sorts of moments. Slow transformations can also be fun.
Perhaps my favorite idea is mixing it with something like body-hopping or swapping. Some guy has an unfortunate run-in with some sort of hooker and she steals his body. Perhaps to get away from from that life or whatever. It's particularly fun if said individual runs off with their new body, leaving the guy to deal with the hooker's life.
Or, maybe they swap during sex by some means (magical, sci-fi), and the old dude body ends up dead or something. Kinda dark for that one.
Hell, it doesn't even have to be a hooker. Librarian, teacher, scientist, cheerleader, student, whatever.
I'm not really a fan of the "done and gone" sort of thing, where the change happens, and there's just an "omfg" or something and it ends That kinda shit is boring. I much prefer to see the after-affects. The guy has to adjust to his new body, and all of the flaws and graves it might have.
In the aforementioned situation of body theft, perhaps the former-man tries to get on with their previous life, but can't for obvious reasons. So, they resort to just trying to survive. They could take on the life of the former occupant, or try and start over. I like to see them keep their former personality as they try to adjust, with the threat of identity loss every above them. I just like seeing a character fight and struggle.
