Yeah, didn't post the update here last night because there wasn't a thread up. Free Cities 0.3.08 at freecitiesblog dot blogspot dot com. Changes breasts, adds new collars and piercings, adds pubic hair, adds three new leadership positions for each of the Brothel, Promenade, and Dairy, and a lot of other stuff.

More endgame stuff is definitely planned, yes. Difficulty balancing is a work in progress: every update makes little tweaks to difficulty, almost always increasing it. Also, are you actually succeeding at hard economy/poor start? If so, holy shit, how?

Go back to the Manage Arcology screen and click on the pharmaceutical fabricator link. You can upgrade curatives and growth hormones, and reduce the effects of aphrodisiac withdrawal. There's no actual numbers on anything though so I can't tell you how effective they are.

Right now, extremely effective. Right off the top of my head, the upgrades make curatives capable of raising a slave to max health in a few turns, make aphrodisiacs basically safe, and make hormones take effect every turn without fail.

I for one would rather not see this game get amalgamated into the "Games like CoC" club. I think its a refreshing new concept, even if there are other slave training games out there. Plus there's no real place for combat outside of some rather scripted events.

Sorry, I missed the meaning of the question by a mile. In a game like CoC seeing sex actions during combat would definitely be interesting, especially since it could be used in place of a generic "tease" action, but I think the focus should be on it happening after combat is done. Especially if there is a setting like CoC where theres very much a "to the victor goes the spoils" mindset

I think the cc measurement is fantastic for describing the size of implants, and improperly clinical for natural breasts. I'd love to see it stick to just cup size for boobs, and cc measurements for the implant sizes.

I love the shock collar.

I'd like to see something along the lines of the shock collar/slave clothes for feet, something worse than nothing at all.

To refine this a bit more, I think it really depends on the "theme" of you game, for lack of a better term. If combat in it of itself is more of a sexual encounter, then sex in combat would make a lot of sense, but if the purpose of combat is to kill or mame, sex has little to no place during it. If combat is used as a means of controlling someone, sex OR physical/magical attacks would work just fine, though I'd prefer the sexual route in this case if it were up to me.

Uh, okay. It's just that the cc thing sounds so stupidly clinical. I get that it's probably easier to code and order into a system for you, but IMO you should have just kept to either cup measurements (yeah, I know they aren't technically right, but it's a convention in lewd games like this that works fine) or make it "tiny, small, medium, large, huge" and so on and have the descriptions handle details. Which they already do.

Another thing that I miss recently is the way slaves used to react to getting tattooed all over. I find that sort of thing hot and the reaction really cemented it. Now the tattoo just happens without any real effect and it just feels like some irrelevant stat in their stat block.

There was also one thing that gave me trouble that I believe is awkwardly coded. This was in version 3.7.1, not in this one. I noticed that the custom tattoo got removed every time I went into the body mod studio screen. The string got emptied actually, but it was still there, there was still a blank custom tattoo that I could remove. The same problem was not present in the custom descriptors page, so I just used that. But still, I lost a few custom tattoo descriptions and I had to redo them afterwards because of this.

Another thing I'm unsure of is the thing about removing surgery options where there is no practical impact of them. Now, I didn't test this, but is it still possible to make a slave that's already naturally beautiful and completely rework her face? Because I found that hot for the "she doesn't recognize herself" angle, I didn't really care about the beauty stat that much.

What if it were both? Certain enemies would fight you more out of a purpose to kill, while others would try to seduce/overpower you. Not all fights would be of a sexual purpose or of a purely "kill or be killed" purpose.

That would be interesting, though if it were a fight where someone were trying to seduce you, and you try hacking at them with a sword, I think the penalty for losing should be different than if you tried to "out seduce" them and lusted out or something, and the same for if you win by the sword rather than seducing them yourself. For the fighting to survive kind of fights though, I think those would be pretty much the same in their outcomes. If you're nice and losing doesn't mean flat out death or losing, there's going to be some not-so-gentle love making, and if you win, the opponent can expect the same in return, or death, or even both.

If you buy a 1000$ slave you cure/train her and you can sell her for 40-50k pretty quickly
Otherwise you just wait a little

Not that anon you're referring to, but cc is a medical term generally and people generally have an idea of what <n> cup size is but cc is ironically harder to pin down to the average person despite being more precise

I once had a plan to make a /d/-game where you play a helpless heroine who is constantly in trouble.

Attached is a graph of situations I had planned. The idea is that there is only one large city with an outer “poor” and an inner “rich” city. You could, at the beginning, put points into magic/cursed equipment, abilities, appearance, and how fucked you start, CYOA-style. You then begin the game roaming around trying to get by without getting raped/captured too often, but it would always eventually happen, because that’s the meat of the game.

Hope this can serve as inspiration to someone.

Maybe I’ll get on it someday, but considering how long the list is, I may as well share the idea right now.

The idea was, everywhere, she could be assaulted by badies.
In prison it would be other prisoners and sometimes guards, in the outside dungeons it would be creatures, but in the city it could be bandits or corrupted guards. You get the idea.

Assault entails combat, defeat entails rape, and failure to fight back during/after the rape has a probability of capture. Capturing is what happens when she is moved from one place to another against her will.

Often, capturing would also entail cursed equipment being placed on her. Lewdly cursed. For example, if she is "bought by a rich person" to become a slave in the inner city, she could find herself in a slave collar that keeps her from resisting rape by her master and tells her master where she is at all times. Removing the items would require randomly generated little quests.

tl;dr rape and more way to get raped

Only one guy ever joined as an artist. Those were supposed to be drafts, but with nobody else ever coming, that's simply where it ended. I wish this was something more authors understood.
When I'm playing a game or reading a story and it's going on about how enormous a characters breasts are and then it's revealed that they're only a D-cup I get a little mad. D-cups are barely above average, hell, in a fair bit of the world they ARE the average. It just takes me out of it, and is why I always suggest people just use adjectives to describe a character and not give specific measurements.

I finally played this, and im quite impressed! The world feels like its somewhat alive. I wish there was more that you could do with that world, like stealing slaves from the other arcologies, or sending out mercenaries to bring back more slaves from the rebel factions or w/e. Maybe like have it so that other people of the arcologies might try to assassinate you because you treat the slaves better/worse than they do, and they dont approve of it.. or just.. things like that.

In either case, its quite entertaining.

for dosh, just raid the mountains and have your gremlins make coffins out of all the materials you get from it
alternatively, for lategame dragons you can just patrol the skies until you find a dwarven airship; you get literally 30000+ gold when you take those down

for good minions you need that impregnation magic and the ability and willingness to cuck a titan

to raise infamy, just raze the biggest town(or the capital if you're tough enough) over and over and over again; with 6 energy you can get +7-9 infamy a sleep-cycle

It's inherently weaker than other heads.

Red and white both grant the breath weapons, which are a (0,1) attack bonus except against Immune enemies, as well as a (0,1) defense to fire and ice giants respectively.

This means that Blue and Green are the only heads that don't come with a combat bonus of some sort.

In addition, gills are mostly unnecessary except on the few occasions when you'd actually want to go in the ocean, which are few and far in between, given that mermaid births can't be sent into the army of darkness.

There's descriptions written in the files, but Huntsman disabled them because otherwise you'd have to click through several boxes of text every time you rape a girl, which would get old very quickly.

Neither can be sent to the army, are inferior to other spawn, and the Triton is stronger than fire/ice giants.

The only benefit is that Tritons have better treasure loot, but if you're looking for treasure you'd be razing the capital over and over instead.

/stg/ is an awful cesspit. The complaint is totally valid though. It's a matter of personal taste. I like the doing of h-games much more than the reading (or watching, if there are visuals). The gameplay of giving a slave K-cup tits is a lot more fun for me than reading about boning her K-cup tits. The scenes are 5-10 sentences because that's what I like in a text-based h-game. The advantage of having such short scenes is that I can make a lot of them, and I can code them to be highly mutable.

That's the intent. Keep in mind, the early builds of FC and Wasteland I built for myself before I ever really considered making them public had no scenes at all! Playing CoC or TiTS, with 500+ word scenes, I personally never get all the way through the damn scene. I'm open to a bit more detail in scenes, but mostly to make them more specific to the slave, not longer.

I'm normally all about respecting people's interests, especially here on /d/. The problem with furry stuff isn't the content itself, though. Shit's metastatic, yo. It has an established history of eating entire games if even a little furshit is allowed. I think the strong reaction to furry content in CoC and TiTS is caused by the fact that a lot of anons on /d/ think that those games could have been truly great if furry content didn't cancerously grow to cover everything in sight. I'd be just as tetchy about foot content if it pushed everything else out of good games.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who seems to get off to the mechanics more than the text. Having a disconnect between the porn and the gameplay defeats the purpose of having it as a game in the first place. This is why the countless "find the CG" style HRPGs have never worked for me. If it's just a scavenger hunt with a half-baked JRPG attached you're better off just looking up the CG on Sadpanda and sparing yourself the grind.

Speaking of which, is there currently any point to impregnating your slaves from a gameplay perspective? Lactation drugs work much better and much faster for cows, it makes people want to fuck your whores less, you get nothing when the kid is born, etc. Maybe a small prestige bonus would be nice if you've got pregnant fucktoys?

Maybe the slave schools would pay a "finder's fee" for unrolling someone born from a slave with desirable traits (naturally beautiful, big tits, etc.). They're obviously for-profit (naturally) so it makes sense they'd want to incentivize people to enroll good product with them instead of the competition. A slave school will spend 18 years feeding and clothing a slave while training it. If your own expenses are any indication, keeping a person alive for just a week costs a hundred Dystopia Bux at bare minimum. That's nearly 900,000 ¤ for the slave's whole education, yet they're being sold at like 10,000 ¤ a pop (the equivalent of a few months of whoring).

Building a sensible economic system has long since taken a back seat to eroticism.

I think you've overestimated slave-upkeep, sir.

I have 14 slaves in my current game. By stopping all drugs (Except contraceptives, which seem to have no effect on upkeep) I have gotten slave-cost down to 700 dystopiabux, implying the minimum cost to keep someone alive is 50 dystopiabux.

There are 938.5 weeks in 18 years, so rounding up to 940 we get a cost of 47,000 dystopiabux or DBs per 18 year old. Though, we also have evidence of drugging taking place from age... 14? 16? I forget the exact number. We'll go with 14 because I like lolis being sexualized.

1 set of implants costs 200ish bux in the surgery, so we can add 600 bux to the final cost if we assume 3 implants. Putting someone on drugs for breast growth is 100 bux a week, so add that on there from age 14 onwards, giving us a rough estimate in the idea of...

76,100 DBs per slave.

So it's /bad/, but not 900,000 to 10,000 bad.

I'm still not sure what fills the gap, though.

As long as you have 1 action left, go to the terrorist hideout and get info about the current active thief and knight for 10 coins each.
If the thief has some nasty shit (like 'never wakes you up' / 'skips elite guards'), you probably want to pay so he's dealt with.
For knights I only ever got trouble with one type - those who get stronger the more hostages you're holding, but it's so cheap to fuck them over you shouldn't even consider not doing it.

If you can't spare the few hundred coins, you're on years <10 and they're not a problem.

I think this is a common misapprehension that is prevalent in video game desing and the industry. Devs fear that players will be overwhelmed or confused by "too many" options so they simplify, condense, combine and remove features in the pursuit of "user friendliness".

Really the only problem with shit tons of options and features is how they are introduced. If a new player started up Free Cities v5.6.01 and the first screen contained 50 links and toggle options with little explanation or context then yes they would be turned off.
But if on the first screen there is 5 options to pick and choose from and then as the game progresses more and more options were slowly introduced when necessary or relevant, then the player would be able to keep up.

I think players in general want options. They want tons of customisation and options to toggle. But you need to give these to the player in a controlled manner. Hopefully at a pace that doesn't overwhelm them.

Try stacking obedience bonuses that have no mental damage, such as Iron Collar, Uncomfortable Straps, and resting/fucktoy duty.

Confine or Harsh Breaking should never be done more than a single week per slave, two times will invariably fuck up all but the most mentally sound of slaves (which psychotic former slaves who tend to have the "odd" trait and try to raid a slaveholder's home by themselves most certainly are not)

On a further note, this is also how I do the make money quests too, you can generally make 2 or 3 high quality pieces out of one high quality gem mine raid, sell for 10,000ish normally.

I'm reminded of a jap game I played that was kinda /d/
It was a 3D dungeon crawler where you sent your waifus into a dungeon to kill shit, as they leveled up you could sex them in new positions.
Losing to some of the monsters resulted in special sex scenes.
What made it /d/ was that you could get the girls visibly pregnant and still send them into the dungeons and fuck them.
What made it weird /d/ was that you got money by selling your pregnancies to an Angel.
In most places you have to pay for an abortion, not get paid.

Shit was hard to understand though, it was all in japanese

if I could remember what it was called I'd link it.
I remember the combat being strange till you figured it out.
It had lots of costumes that were actually armor, multiple classes for your waifu and customization for their appearances.
what I remember of the sex scenes was kinda generic but it was fun for a few days, mostly because of figuring out what everything did.
