I watched the polish doctor man's ted talks and videos and I like the idea except for the sjw shit, but one thing that really botheredme was how slow this team was going on prototyping, I mean I don't know if tehy are doing it full time, which i'd imagine they would be seeing as they recieve donations and such but their progress seems to be slow to stagnant since 2011

I think /diy/kes could probably achieve their goal better than they could...

So what have you guys done today?

I finally started spraying color on my car.

Razor blade stripped it to the gel coat and put rustoelum white primer on it 3 months ago.

Filled all the nicks and sanded a million times.

Now im spraying Baer High gloss exterior enamel in Cobalt blue.

Before I get flamed. I bought the car as a resto-MOD. 76 corvettes arent worth much and this one had rusted out floor pans/worn out engine.

where do I find one of these?

Hey /diy/, it is my first time posting on this board so bear with me.

I just got a new HTC One E8 after having an old blackberry for a few years. I really want a solid case for it, but since it isn't a very popular phone I cant find any cases that fir my needs.

so, how can I build a case for my phone? i don't have access to many tools but i do have a heatgun to shape plastic. also how could i create a silicone sleeve.

Hey, /diy/!

After becoming a bit aggravated with a stuck bolt I decided to put a notch in the head of the bolt with my angle grinder to attempt to remove the bolt with a flat head. Which just snapped the head of the bolt clean off. I managed to strip the allen head and then attempted to use am Irwin extractor set which couldn't bite into the round head. Any tips and tricks to remove this bolt without special tools, like an ez out or vampliers?

When dealing with breadboards it is of utmost importance to distance all similar things equally. Trimming component legs is only acceptable if all components are trimmed equally. When laying out passive components it is of utmost importance to insert components such that their respective values all face one direction. Resistor color bands must always be aligned. For functionally similar connections, wires of exactly the same color must always be used. And so on...

So, I recently moved out of my parents' house and have spent the last 4 months living in an apartment with my grillfriend. It's slowly killing me because I don't have my workshop (welding, cutting, grinding, hand tools, drill press, etc.).

My current annoyance is not having a vise. My plan is to buy a Harbor Freight vise and then... I have no idea what I'm going to attach it to. I'm thinking a piece of 3/4" plywood that I can stand on or put weight on.

Ideas?
