I need to build a couple standing desks cause my living situation is going to change pretty soon. Since I'm a poor fag I figured I should just by some pine from Home Depot or Lows and it will be a simple assembly. My problem is this will look like complete fucking shit and very tacky. Any ideas how to cheaply improve the appearance of the desks?

Oh and if it matter one is going to for a PC, the other a keyboard that weighs 35lb if someone suggests other materials it needs to be able to support that. Also, I live in a desert so there isn't shit for lumber salvage place.
