So guys
live in a third world shithole and things are starting to get hot in here, and I'm not talking about the neighbor's daughter
With the heat comes a lot of annoying things such as bugs, flies, mosquitoes and Germans to our beaches
So I decided to build myself one of those insect killers with a black light (UV, Ultraviolet they are all the same right?) and the electric grid.

So my question is, is that thing really effective (against bugs not Germans)?
Have anybody tried to build one of those?
Tips are also welcome

Yep this. I mean they do work and kill stuff, but it's like putting a small sump pump on a sinking ship. There's just too many of the fuckers to fend off.

However if you do want one I reccomend taking a dremel and cutting off all the little protective bars. It will let large bugs fly in and get fried, and it's pretty funny when a massive bug flies in it and takes 45 seconds to burn up.

That's why you use both.
Don't know about shithole countries but in Australia its a part of the health code to have one in any restaurant. They use properly bug proof sealed doors, air curtains and bug zappers. The bugs that do get through and into the building dive into the bug zappers. Stupid faggots who put these outside only attract bugs. But that said, I have seen giant industrial bug zappers used in the middle of artificial "lakes" for controlling bug populations.

Yeah, if you live in a building that has an indoor fly problem (the flys are born indoors) this makes complete sense.

I have never really understood how an indoor fly problem works though. What do the flys hatch from? A church I go to has this problem. Obviously there is nothing to eat there... Dead bodies in the ceiling?

Those things were a fad in the USA when I was a kid in the 1980s. They were cool to listen to frying bugs, but you would have needed a $1 million fortress of them around you to stop all the mosquitos coming in.

Buy a box fan and get some type of meshing/net then just stick a UV light in front of it.

All the bugs see the light go to it and get sucked up by the strong wind currents.
Spray em with something to kill them.
although they might die naturally do to the high winds

It's looking like this now

I have noticed that some zappers have fans so I'm thinking about to put a small fan on top of it to simulate the human breath that mosquitoes are attracted to
but I'm not sure if it will get any better since they are attracted to CO2 and fortunately my room is not full of it

I have read that mosquitoes generally don't fall into traps with UV light because those fuckers also have thermal vision -
so I'm probably going to shave a sheep and put it next to my bed hoping that the mosquitoes will choose it and not me

They're attracted to the CO2 in breath. Fans won't do jack shit because mosquitos aren't attracted to the airflow and fans don't produce any CO2.

At best, the argument could be made that the turbulent air produced by the fans makes it more likely that they'll get knocked into a position to complete a circuit and fry themselves, but I'd question how much of a difference it really makes.
