The easiest method is to unscrew the screws holding the plastic plate to the metal base, then use that plastic base to mark out the the hole spacing on a piece of plywood, get longer screws in the same size, and screw the base to the plywood. either drill out a hole for the bit or plunge cut it with the router.
The kicker for this is that the height adjustment on the router needs to work upside down. If it doesn't, you pretty much need to make a router lift to hold the motor separate from the base.
