I'm gunna go with an AC relay or transformer, both require a CPS rating, but i'm not sure how to ID it beyond i'm afraid. shaking the thing along its vertical axis might give a clue, if you hear things rattling it's likely the armature or contact arm moving, which would tell me it's a relay.
