Layout is an arc segment.
1)Bring cone to a point. point to small & large diameters are the actual layouts radius’s.
2)calculate large diameter circumference (PI * D)
3)calculate the layout "chord" for an arclength from step 2 with the radius from the large diameter from step one (I don't remember the formula offhand)
4)measure & mark chord, connect endpoints to origin of radiuses
