It's an absolute classic but definitely polarizing. It has a very unique gasoline/oil accord that is pretty much love or hate. If you like then go for it. FWIW, its been around since 1988 and, has such, undergone numerous reformulations. If you really want it, then it might be worth it to try and search out a vintage bottle

Recently copped a 13-sample pack from luckyscent.. these are my favorites so far:

CDG Incense: Kyoto
Escentric Molecules - Molecule 01
Tauer Perfumes - L''air du desert marocain

So far, none of the others have stood up against la nuit de l'homme. I'm not concerned about it being a 'meme' fragrance because i live in a shit town where nobody is effay to begin with

Love it as well, you should def cop if you feel the same way. That said, if you want to look at something similar then try out Bvlgari Man In Black. They smell very close to one another but I get more of a manly/masculine vibe from the Bvlgari.

I like the fact that hardly anyone uses it anymore. I feel going back to the classic scents slightly better because you can have a scent structure that is completely different from the men around you.

i think it's pretty good for cold late fall/winter days as well. honestly don't think it's all that great of a "clubbing" scent or for when you want to smell really seductive

It's a meme simply because it's posted about frequently, silly. One isn't inherently better than the other, it's up to personal preference, and they have virtually nothing in common other than being Creed fragrances.

I suppose if popularity is in your criteria for what makes something better that another, then sure. For most, I think it hardly matters, and most would disagree that something more popular is automatically a better product than something less popular without at least taking into account more significant qualities.

I never payed attention to GIT's longevity in my weather which probably is what would make or break it for me, its consistently 100+ spring-summer and most fragrances don't last in the weather
