LV et al probably have good quality stuff, but quality for fashion & town use != quality for active outdoor use.
It probably wont matter with a beany (though personally, for me, the large logo is not subtle enough), but with gloves? I think you will probably wreck some very expensive gloves very fast.

As long as you dont go totally overboard, dressing for girls is perfectly fine. Just dont be the stupid ass noveaux riche kid decked out in logos head to toe. Keep it subtle and classy!
