I was totally blown away by this strangers helpfulness. Anyways, I got to work a bit part time for a moving firm, and I got to stay in a 3 room apartment for free while repainting it. I ended up meeting a fuck tonne of friends from all over the world, since this apartment was sort of a hub for couchsurfers in Oslo. The lady who owned it was helpful too, even though she seemed kind of crazy.
Dude who stored my shit bought me pizza and TGI Fridays. Apparently he'd been a criminal since his early teens, and had been a debt collector for a big criminal gang in Sweden.
He was kind of sad when I left for home because he didn't seem to have a lot of friends in Oslo, even though his business seemed to be going really well. I can sort of understand because he really looked like the type of guy who could lift me up and choke me to death with one arm.
anyways. Oslo is like this. One side of the city centre is like a straight american ghetto. 95% minorities. Even the convenient stores were beat to hell and I felt quite uncomfortable shopping there and walking around generally. People tried to sell me heroin.
On the other hand, the other side of the city is visibly wealthy, with giant estates towering over well-kept streets. Cardiobunnies running around with their dogs and shit. I got looks just because I wasn't dressed like a preppy upper-class kid (I was wearing tight black jeans and random fake supreme tee's most of the time. Yes, I'm a poor fuccboi, fukin fite me).
Overall, Oslo was awesome. 9/10 would go there and get overpaid for doing shit work and get 100% sick pay while working two jobs again.
