I always had thought the old design was purposefully trying to pare down superfluous details, and let the heart be the single (yet somehow still minimal) design element beyond the shoe's silhouette and its blocks of color.
Kind of defeats the purpose to put the branding and details back in. I don't know why they would do this.
>>10531468In a way, the heart design is far more minimalist than all those superfluous details. The heart features simple, almost abstracted shapes, and is filled with solid color. Compare this to all the shit in the Converse logo (or even the racing stripe, contrast stitching).
