FOR ALL THOSE PLANNING TO BUY THEIR FIRST BOARD
decks:not much to them. most brands go through the same companies/wood like sp sticks or dwindle so it doesnt matter what you get. generally bigger foot gets 8-8.5(inches acoss) sized board. smaller size is 7.75-8.25. real, krooked, anti hero, and local companies are my pick
trucks: width of truck should be as close to width of board as possible.hi or low sizes are preference.i like his because i ride loose trucks and need the extra space between wheel and board. lows give sliiiiggghhhtly better balance and pop
wheels. bones last a long time because they dont flatspot. same with spitfires. 50-55 mm should be good. if for just cruising around town go for a softer/bigger wheel/ for trying shit get more regular size and hard.
bearings: super reds or reds are your best bang for the buck. last a year or two and are farely cheap.
:grip: NO COLOR GRIP. just get some simple black grip and they will put it on in the store for a few bucks
shoes: this is what really matters. cup(thick more protection) vs. vulc(thin more board feel) is what it boils down to. i would recommend looking at
rippedlaces.com for shoe reviews. i like emerica and adidas shoes but this subjective. stay away from stiching near the sides/pinky toe area of your foot. ex stan smiths are bad. NO CANVAS SHOES NOT EVER
good luck and remember skating is not for being cool. its for having fun. its not a contest and you will never win or lose
