Deciding between a Ap diver 15710st, a pp nautilus 5711 or a nautilus 5712. Would rather have the PP but they are a lot more expensive so to buy them i would have to wait a while or sell some of my collection.

Why do some of them say just Reverso while some say JLC? I think the JLC logo is much nicer looking and it's one of my favorite watch brand logos, but still I like reversos a lot. Perlon is kind of an odd choice but it actually looks pretty nice, too.

Almost all of the models have the jlc logo, only the really old vintage models dont and the one i have which is a limited edition tribute to the 1931 reverso. I actually like the perlon on it, though usually have an alligator strap when i want to dress it up. Have 4 different straps for the marine as well

well i put a lot of my money towards watches as it is prob my biggest hobby. My wrists are 8' and the 15300 is 39mm but wears a bit bigger considering the integrated bracelet. If you want a bigger watch there is the 41mm 15400 or a smaller one perhaps the 14790 which all look very similar.

Due to early copyright issues, US bound watches could only have LeCoultre. Which is why the ealry models had a mixture of LeColutre, Jaeger-LeCoultre or just the model name. This is a re-edition which homages that vintage dial. And here's my modern dial.

Yeah it was one of my grails for a long time! Actually like a few of the offshore models, don't have huge wrists so i can only see myself wearing a 42mm but have looked at several of them as more of a "beater" as almost all of my watches are quite fragile.

I looked at the Omega, but since the antimagnetic properties are really more of a conversation starter anyway, I like the Milgauss better based on looks. I actually do work around magnetic fields a lot at my job, but I keep a Citizen in my desk drawer to put on every morning so I don't bang up my expensive watches.

I can never get past the polished metal bezel on the Daytona. It would look so much better in my opinion if it looked a little more like the Speedmaster. Is the the bezel on that ceramic or just steel painted black?

Seagull 1963. It's pretty cheap and a pretty cool mechanical chrono movement, but I never wore mine much and it's really delicate with well documented reliability issues and not waterproof at all and stuff. It is very nice looking and a great vintage style watch that you can buy brand new, just not for me.

Also has some cool history by the way. The original watch was commissioned by the Chinese air force in 1963 to be the first homegrown pilot chronograph for their pilots. Seagull designed the watch and for the movement they purchased the design and all the tooling from a Swiss company called Venus which was going out of business and they brought all the equipment to China. The 1963 is a remake of that original pilot watch and it uses the same movement which is (QC issues aside) a very nice column wheel handwinding chronograph, it's basically a Swiss movement transplanted to China.

Yes the one in the pic is 38mm and acrylic crystal. The sapphire version sounds like it would be great except the shape of the sapphire crystal means that the watch has an extra thick bezel which ruins the look of the watch.

If you wash your hands with it on you should be really careful not to splash water on it because it's really not sealed at all.

People always judge other people when they wear Rolexes because it's such a recognizable well known brand. But honestly if they're talking shit to your face about what you make then it means that they are huge assholes and also that it's pretty obvious your watch is probably fake because you don't have enough money to be buying a Rolex.

I just tell everyone my watches are fake now. Much easier to avoid conversation and have people react positively. People become dicks if they see you flaunt wealth, Especially on the commute to and from work.

I would never tell anyone my watches are fake because im not embarrassed that I spend a lot on my interests. I would never tell anyone the cost though. However all of my watches are fairly discreet and by lesser known brands (apart from my ap perhaps) so the only people who know how much I spend are the people in the know
