tbh I was thinking about growing a beard, In a week I have a shit ton, but I can't stand it I mean it's fucking disgusting to have so much hair in your face, why is it so popular?

Among a sea of clean-shaven men, a man of comparable attractiveness with a beard becomes more desirable. There was a fairly popular social study done on the matter.
It's also a godsend for men with average features. An Italian man at my work is a 4/10 at most, but beneath the Jesus hair and massive beard his blue eyes and Euro charm work miracles. Before he grew out the hair/beard he could never find a girl; now he's killing it.

That said, we've passed peak beard. Beards are out for 2016. The tried and true 5 o'clock shadow is back again, as well as longer hair.

People who like beards seem to REALLY like them. I had a beard for a couple of months. I didn't pick up nearly as much as I do normally, but the girls I was picking up were super into it, with a fair share of crazies. You also get a lot of "hey man, nice beard!" from other men.

I've never tried to grow a beard before but decided to not shave it for the last few weeks. Not sure whether to keep it or not. Most people have said they liked it/it makes me look older, so sort of worried I'd have babyface if it's gone

I have really round cheeks despite wide cheekbones and a really defined chin point. The beard helps make my face look a bit harder.

The moustache also helps my upper lip look less tiny and strange. Also I'm lazy and can't keep up with shaving every day anyways.
