but models like it are in many textbooks on fashion and trend forecasting (also in marketing).
the percentages in the graph are, of course, quite arbitrary. but the different values has a normal distribution, as to be expected, and these kinds of models are very much used for commercial trend forecasting (despite what you want to believe).
