It's going to suck, but I guarantee you the best way to stop gaming is to straight up get rid of your games. For me, it was a nightmare. All the effort I had put into those games was lost and all of a sudden when I picked up a game to play for fun years later, I was no longer able to dominate and it felt terrible.
But I realized over time, that as time went on, the time I had put into games felt meaningless. Just like when you get a new game, the game you played before fades into memory and you'll rarely touch it again, that happens with whatever you're playing now and lifting.
Your online inventory, experience, skill rank, competitive scene, or whatever else is keeping you going? They don't exist in real life.
Deleting/selling your game or console is a huge fucking step but I guarantee you you'll look back in a year and feel fucking incredible.
