I have a friend who's the same age as me and has never been to the gym until two days ago, I've been going for 4 or 5 months now religiously, here's what happened.
>Did some running and realized very quickly that my cardio is better than his.
>Do Incline legs: he does lmao4pl8 and I do lmao3.5pl8 both for 5 rm
>Do seated cable rows and at this point he's already exhausted so I did about 20lbs more than him for the same number of reps
>Go to bench for obvious reasons
>We're both not very stronk so we start with 20lbs on each side and work our way up to try to find our 1 rep maxes
>Work up to lmao1pl8, he pushes for 5reps, I manage three which nearly killed me.
>He adds 20 more lbs and does 3 reps but can't lift anything afterwards.
My point is that he was as strong as me an then some with no training or lifting whatsoever and I've been busting my ass for this
I want to be stronger than he is but now we're training together and so I figure our gains will be pretty similar.
Here are our stats:
Me: >5ft11in
>140lbs ottermode with skinnyfat gut
>6.5 minute mile
>Decent diet but no money to improve it by much at this point. yes I take a mass gainer daily
Him: >6ft1in
>210lbs chubbyfat
>12 minute mile
>shit-tier diet but more money for supps and better food
What can I do to keep myself from falling behind, or even surpassing him?
sorry for the long post, here's a pretty dame to keep you going.
