We all know the BMI irrelevant to lifters because it does not take muscle mass into consideration. Majority of weight lifters will be classified as overweight despite being lean and healthier than the average citizen.
But work with me on this one /fit/. Could we turn it into an index to determine your "mode." Let's say we use it using only our lean mass. It is easy to calculate your bodyweight without the fat. [Weight x (1 - ( . bodyfat ))]
This new Body Mass Index would give a numerical indication of your muscle mass in regards to your height. The only flaw would be different bone densities, but it wouldn't have that big of an impact.
As long as my logic wasn't flawed we could then make new ranges determining your mode.
Thoughts?
