The man on the left got his degree in computer engineering. He took an entry level position at a large tech firm and saved over 70% of his income into a saver's portfolio of index funds, 30 year treasuries, gold, and cash. He bought nothing that wasn't essential. After 6 years, at age 28, he retired. Now he lifts for health, and spends his time volunteering with a food bank and raising his children with his wife. He buys and repairs broken motorcycles and sells them for hobby that provides a small side income.
The construction workers live lives of physical toil and constant worry about the shaky market. They are often uprooted or laid off, and an injury could end their careers. Because they and their wives both work, their children are left to be raised by the state. They rarely eat a nutritious meal, because their free time is too limited to properly care for their health. Like most Americans, they have little to no savings and a negative net worth due to vehicle and mortgage debt. They will never be free. They will live and die as slaves, never knowing they could have lived on their own terms.
