well refeed and cheat are two different things. refeed go back to normal. cheat you can do either. go back to normal and accept the little bit of progress lost, or make up for it the next day.

refeed is for the purpose of "resetting" your metabolism when you plateau on weight loss. basically just eating at maintenance for a bit.

cheating is when you decide to be a fatty and overeat for the sake of eating or eat shitty food because it tastes great.
