Any benefits to "just" doing cardio? I do cardio 4 times a week.

My only interest is to stay "fit" and not have abs and shit, I'm training for a half marathon in 6 months, can only run 10K at the moment.

Is lifting necessary?

I'm only worried about enlarging certain parts of my body by focusing too much on it and not on others.

I heard a rumour that if you only do pushups you become slightly deformed for not doing back-pushups.

Same goes for the different lift exercises.
