If you're still about lad; Spectating is fine, might be a small charge on door for some comps, ~£5. Only thing you can't/shouldn't do is go in warm up room (like to help warm a mate up, I dunno of you're just going alone or whatever) if you're not a GBPF member, due to insurance issues.

Alright I'm tired of stalling.

I did one of those 5x5 things and I for the life of me can't progress.

Am stuck at around 110 kg squat at the 5th set I usually fail my 4th or 5th rep and it's infurating. And even when I get it I fail the next time. I've deloaded twice on the squat now.

Is it time to move on? I'm thinking of doing something simple like 5/3/1 but a guy @ gym told me I'm too weak to start that. What do you think plg?

Hi friends, I've only been lifting a few months but want to stick to heavy compounds for life so hopefully can ask this here.

My squat is currently 120kg 3x5 and my deadlift 150kg 3x5

I've just started doing powercleans this week and managed 60kg for 5x3 which I know is babyweight.

Just wondering what my clean should be in comparison to the squat and deadlift so I can work on catching it up and having my lifts reasonably proportional.

Just found out that I have a fracture near my shoulder that has been giving me trouble for the last 4 months.
Doc says they might have to re-break it to get it healed right. J-just fuck my shit up ;_; its not like I wanted to lift anyway.

Yes do 3x5. 5x5 at 110kg is actually really heavy, especially for novice gains, so you're not recovering and then you stall. You can probably take 3x5 close to 140 at which point you can swap to intermediate style programming.

Not rly. Depends on what you define as quality. In terms of build quality and materials they're way up there, all brush aluminum and glass. 90% of other phones are plastic.

"Quality" can be defined as the additional customisation that the likes of android offers, but some people dont give a shit about that and prefer the simplicity of iOS.

It's all relative and down to personal preference at the end of the day. Insisting that your phone is "better" when smart phones are all so similar is spergy as fuck.

Lads I have a lifting question: the bench at the gym where I lift probably 75% of the time is pretty much a pillowtop mattress and I notice my shoulders sliding around a lot under heavier weights. Can't keep my back tight for the life of me. Should I just use a narrower, more conservative grip when I bench there or something?

Most people could get a much better, thicker, heavier, plasticy laptop than a macbook but they fork out for the macbook because they get more satisfaction out of using something more desirable than something more practical but less aesthetically pleasing.

Is there any real reason to train biceps in powerlifting? I've heard it prevents elbow pain by balancing out all the tricep work but I'm not sure I buy that considering how much rowing and vertical pulling most PLers do. Mike T said he bought a curl bar and never ended up using it.

pretty good, my bench was stuck and I kept failing 85-90kg for 3 reps when doing 5x5 on VD and 1x5(2x3) on ID. My bench has been progressing up to 100kg for 3 and it's still going.

You should probably listen to the other guy though he sounds smarter.
