hey /fit/izens,

first time poster. I'm 185lb 22 year old and I'm looking to do squats for the first time but do not have the company of someone who has done the form. I'm confident I understand it well enough and can take proper precautions. My plan was to work on form with just the bar, then work up to a reasonable first time weight. Any recommendations for what weight?

If it's relevant, I've lifted for about 5 months using upper body, chest/ back/ arms so I'm in pretty decent shape, I just haven't done much lower body yet. Still a noob.
