So long as you keep protein above 1g per lbs you can safely cut calories by 50% of maintenance without losing any muscle.

So if you're 200lbs and maintain on 3000 calories you can eat 200g protein and eat 1500 calories and lose fat at an extremely fast pace.

Disclaimer: You will probably need a stimulant to maintain your lifts and it is painful to eat 200g protein with only 1500 calories. Hope you have a nice tasting whey protein.

You don't need to eat it all at once, you just need to hit it spread throughout the day.
If you're eating less calories than you expend, you always lose weight.

If you're having trouble hitting 1g/lb, 0.8g/lb, or even 0.7g/lb, is fine too.
From examine.com:

Nigger please. Why don't you just quit now and go back to being a lazy shit? Fitness isn't about instant gratification. If you haven't realized that yet you'll never make it. Besides, it's fucking October. Unless you're in Australia, nobody is going to see you with your shirt off for like another 6 months. If you actually managed to stick to a heavy deficit the end result would just be you as a spoopy skeleton because you didn't meet your protein and couldn't lift hard at that deficit.

i stopped counting calories and started just eating way way way less.

i normally only eat like this for 2 days (3 in extreme cases) in a row, then i eat at a 750-ish deficit on the third day to get some food back in my system.

i basically eat nothing but vegetables (low calorie as possible, shit like celery and leafs, not sugary shit like carrots) and protein (nonfat greek yogurt or protein powder for carbs, meat for fats)

lots and lots of suppliments.

basically starve the fuck out of myself (anorexia mode).

my lifts haven't suffered, and i feel healthy.

losing .5-.8lb a day, depending on how seriously i am taking it.

i was really stalling with the 500kcal deficit (and i felt like i was eating more than i needed to be anyways), and my weightloss noob gains had slowed down, so out of frustration i entered anorexia mode but... i actually like it.

i would like to get my shit checked regularly by a doc to make sure i am not dying, but like i say, subjectively i "feel" healthier than ever. my cardio is better than ever, my lifts are higher than ever (not saying much because i just started lifting) and i am almost down to under 20% bf (doesn't sound impressive, but my bmi was 37.7 about a year ago)

its how much an olympian uses.
average weightlifter uses .55 ish.

if you are natty, you are not going to need even 1g/lb

.78g/lb is sufficient if you are training as hard as a gold medalist (spoiler alert: you aren't)

i know i use slimfast but its just basicly a cheaper virsion of promax diet i used a few years ago and it allows me to run afterwards without getting a stich

I've gone down to 1200kcals a day for 6 weeks when I was cutting. I was chubby with a bit of a belly before and I had a six pack afterwards (I don't use scales).

I ate 5 slices of bread, a tin of soup/beans for dinner, and drank mainly tea and coffee with sweetener. I filled in the missing calories with fruit.

I stalled a couple of times, at which point I'd eat a 3-4000kcal cheat meal and my progress would continue.

I also went jogging ofr 30 minutes each day and did regular exercise (primarily calisthenics).

I don't have desire to get bigger as I train primarily for boxing and football (soccer) so I don't know what effect this would have on your gains. I'm also pretty happy with my ottermode body (best bodytype tbh).

Literally this. You can eat as little as you want as long as you get EFAs, enough protein and micronutrients. Once all that's in check it's just a matter of time before you crash and burn, and this depends on how fat you are.

You can eat an absurdly low amount of calories and not feel it if you're mentally ill. I had a period where I was eating 600-1000 cals a day max due to a combination of anxiety, depression, some omeprazole and eventually bupropion which I'm still on. Bupropion is an antidepressant but also an appetite suppressant so over the course of about 5-6 weeks I lost around 25 pounds. I literally would not get hungry, experienced no stomach pain, I basically had to choke bland food down. This is terribly unsafe, but it's how it happened.

I eat 1600 cals a day lifting days, have to go up when doing cardio. Had to abandon a run after 4k the other day because I felt dizzy as fuck. Ate lunch at around 1.30pm and was running at 7 after work. Had had about 1000 calories while working all day.
