Could people with thick, good beards give others tips on how to grow one?
I have previously heard that you can grow out your beard by applying anti balding creams on your face, has anybody done this? Does it work and what are the side effects?

I tried minox on my connectors and mustache for about a year and it worked for me. I would only recommend it for turning vellus (hair or however you spell it) into terminal hairs tho

In my case no. Like i said, i used it for about a year and planned to wean off the shit by decreasing the amount/frequency but I ran out and instead of buying more I just stopped applying cold turkey. Thankfully I didn't notice any loss in gains. I think continued application is for the scalp

I had basically the same amount of coverage(thick sideburns/cheeks/neck, thin connectors/upper lip) since I was 17 all the way up to when I started using minox at 21 and in the year since it definitely sped up the process of darkening the hairs

I don't think it is. Most people who do it do it for over a year. It's entirely possible your face just started growing hair naturally over that span of time.

I used to oil my beard but haven't in almost a year now and it doesn't make any difference whatsoever. Shaping is done by regular trimming and taking out wild edges. Beard "Growth" oil is definitely a snake oil imo. Too bad we can't rub that on your DNA to alter hair growth patterns.

Here's a tip: if you can't grow one, don't even try. If you think you kind of have one, you don't. If you can grow a beard you are never envious of other people's beards.

There are so many gross looking "beards" out there today and the fuccbois sporting this trash are always the most vocal about how manly or whatever they are for it. It looks terrible.
