>>34725419i slept in hostels, a room with a single bed and shared bathroom is about 3-4 $
thailand is a first world country, they were always clean and tidy.
another 10$ a day will have you all set on food ( a large dish in a restaurant is about 0.50-1$)
and public transport + expenses like entry fees on temples or beers with the next backpacker girl you will meet.
their train system is amazing. every day when you wake up and are fed up with the place you are in, you can just go to the train station and reach almost every part of the country for a ridiculously low price
you can easily reach laos, vietnam, burma, cambodia too.
but: buy a lonely planet guide. they are amazing and will give you every info you need on where to sleep, eat and how to reach it.
make a thread on /trv/ before you leave so clear questions, its the best board on 4chan, albeit a bit slow.
also, train muay thai. its amazing. i lived in a muay thai camp for a while and spend even less. you can live eat and train muay thai 6 hours a day and spend like 10$ on everything a day(incl. a room for yourself to sleep)
