ex-accutaner here. I had cystic acne, nothing topical could fix it, was in real fucking deep until I went to the derma. it is so worth it, but man is it hell at its peak. load up on the chap stick now buddy, those lips are gonna blood. I cleared up in ~3-4 months, and I am very very glad I did. just be smart, listen to what the derma says, don't knock a bitch up cause you'll have a retarded baby, etc.

I used a bunch of different acne stuff and now at 22 I don't use anything, just little dabs of pimple treatment if any spots come up. My skin has never been clearer
the second i tried going back to an acne cleanser I broke out. crazy how different it is for different people

My brother had to do it twice, it worked a lot better for him the second time and he hasn't needed it since.

On the flip side I know a guy whose acne is otherwise so bad that he told me he'll be using it for basically his whole life. Guy has some serious acne scars on his face too.
