Ever join a gym that has no mirrors?

My gym has no mirrors.. owner claims to not like them... da fuk. I know doing a squat you look down at the floor anyway.. but wtf.. I cant see my gainz till I get home?

Wall mirrors are nice too for helping avoid eye contact with other randoms at the gym. It also makes the place look larger (and nicer) aesthetically.

Yeah, my current gym has no mirrors. I don't see the need for it. If I'm busy watching myself then that means I'm not focusing on the lift 100%. If I want to watch myself, I'll just record it and watch after.

you mean it sounds like a way for a gym to cut cost while also increasing dues because of how hip and with it they are

people really have a tendency to let marketing push them around

1 panel is 5 minutes tops to clean. Not exactly an effort, though you're right about people being pushed around so yeah maybe.

I only like mirrors for isolation stuff like curls and lat raises.

Big compounds and olympic lifts i find mirrors distracting. You should be able to 'feel' your form so you can focus entirely on the lift.

i really only use them for side lateral raise, to see if i am strongly targeting my anterior head instead of medial.

but i know other people use them for other reasons

Yeah i too like them to maintain form. I mean "feeling" right form sounds ideal but is far from reality. Especially at the end of a set.
