I was thinking to get a door pull up bar and I found some good deals on my local ebay.
I hope you could give me some quick tips about that.
Problem is the frames of the doors in my house are pretty narrow, with a step in the middle.
The frame on top is shorter than 2cm, which apparently is the minimum distance required for the majority of the bars that are fixed on top.
The sides have a step in the middle (pic in OP), which devide the frame in two parts of 5cm each.
I have checked the size of the "heads" on the type of bar which is fixed inside the frame, and they are about dia5,5cm, so they would be a touch larger. Would it be safe anyway to use this latter tpye of bar?
