Talk about everything related to classic bodybuilding. What kind of routine, diet, supplements, and/or drug cycles are you using to get that joocy classic physique? I'm on a 3 to 4 day a week full body routine based on 5x5 for the big lifts with a ton of isolations for for accessories in the high rep range. Cals are 2500 a day roughly with a 35% carb, 35% fat, 30% protein breakdown. Supplements are multivit/multimineral, fish oil, carnitine, arginine, ZMA, & green tea. Have run a couple of Anavar cycles at 40 to 60mg per day. Keep around 15% bodyfat for that big old skool look.

Who is your favorite classic bodybuilder? IMO Zane was GOAT.

>>34728208 I think Zane and Arnold were GOAT but my personal favourites are the the 1950s guys who inspired the 1970s dudes. People like Reg Park, Steve Reeeves, Bill Pearl, etc. Probably Reg Park or Bill Pearl for all time fave. Most of my training style & philosophy is based on Park.

>>34728229 Well, since nobody else apparently gives a shit about the golden age I'll keep our convo going. How are you pulling off 3-4 full body workouts a week with so much volume and such?
Anonymous
>>34728331 Creatine and a couple of Var cycles. When not taking either it's 3 days a week. I love those 2 or 3 hour old skool style full body sessions and ironically find them easier as the hours go by as get more adrenalin going & more pumped. But the next day can be killer. Needed 72 hours rather than 48 hours in between sessions sometimes.

>>34728363 Oh yeah, I forgot you said you cycle. I've been lifting for four years and usually spend two hours a day at the gym, but I doubt a natty like me could handle that much lifting. A full body session for me wouldn't be very efficient. Also, you're saying old school bodybuilders had 15% bodyfat? Old school as in 50s or what.

>>34728397 I'm going for 15% bf as I don't plan on using anything again and feel as a mostly natty it will give that fuller old skool look especially when clothed. But I think in competition the 1950s guys were at about 10% bf and the golden era 1970s dudes about 7% to 10%, not the low single digit of modern pros.

>>34728426 So you're done with gear then? I decided to stay natty until the end of college (I started in high school and this is my first year in college, so I'm halfway through). If I feel like I could get bigger, I'll go for it. Definitely will be looking up to the old school bodybuilders for inspiration, regardless of whether I'm on gear or not.

>>34728452 Yeah I don't plan to compete and for who I look up to the most don't feel anymore gear is that essential for the physique I want, since am not going for the very low bf but still swole look modern compounds like Tren will give.

>>34728490 Not a bad idea. There's a reason why you have bodybuilders from back then who lived for a very long time or are still alive today (like those you mentioned, Zane and Arnold).

Arnold gave me the mindset and motivation to lift, now it's all about Steve Reeves!
His book "how to build the classic physique the natural way" by Reeves is a good read

What would be a good routine to get the classic BBer look? We gotta keep a group with the same goal like /PLG/ AND /OLW/ do
