BTW, what functionality exactly are we talking about? I'm presuming zooming, better than normal clarity, and night vision at least.

If the technology was there for fully bionic eyes and the replacement procedure matured, fuck yes I'd get them, even without a HUD. I have myopia and astigmatism so my eyesight is pretty bad at 27, and it's only going to get worse. To have perfect vision fuck yeah, I'd go cyborg.

Only if I could browse dank memes with it. I have no idea what use I'd have for a motion tracker and crosshair and I'm pretty good at detecting my own health level without a digital readout. Although, a mini map would be cool, it would just be distracting. Basically only if it was completely modular and I controlled what it displayed, then yes. I want the ability to adjust the spectra it's sensitive to. Depending how it's interfaced with the brain that could be actual tetrachromacy, or more, which would be amazing.

But even otherwise, it'd be really neat to have radio/microwave/infrared/ultraviolet/xray/etc astronomy without fucking around with telescopes, even if it's not particularly sensitive. The hud could have toggle-able maps of the stars or the constellations or the various coordinates
