I'm trying to make the recently released Xbox One Wireless Controller Adapter to work on Windows 7/8.

I don't have a Windows 10 machine atm, can someone who has Windows 10 search their system and locate xboxgip.inf, I already have the xboxgip.sys file.

I've managed to install the Windows 10 driver on Windows 7, but it's missing xboxgip service as an upper filter which I'm attempting to figure out atm.

Microsoft locked out the adapter, it was supposed to be compatible with Steam machines as well but I guess they decided it would force people to use Windows 10.

I'll make a guide if this works.
