Why do people care if ads track them? Why do they care if people can find who your family is online?
>today
>in bs class about morals or some shit during the time I would normally be in study hall
>teacher goes on a spiel about how flashlights record video and the Chinese are recording everything we do
>tells us to get out school laptops
>log in using an all lower case alphanumeric nine digit password that is the same as the username
>laptop starts windows
>see prompt to scan for viruses from cleanpc.exe or some shit
>see prompt to connect to a three year old version of hamachi
>tells us to google our names and location
>WHOA the information that I put on public websites is accessible by anyone? Crazy.
>goes on rant about data mining (even though he doesn't understand it at all)

What the hell? I understand the concern over the government using your information, but online services are provided for free by private businesses, so who the fuck cares?

What does /g/ use to manage their documents?

I use Microsoft Explorer, it is a pretty killer package that lets me manually delete, move, copy, or super delete my documents and files at the clicks of a button.

Is there a better program out there?

Other business laptops are also welcome in /tpg/ (e.g. Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook).

If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).
Don't buy anything OTHER THAN T, X AND W SERIES if you want the Real ThinkPad Experience™

No news.

Why ThinkPad? (also applies to other business laptops)
>They’re really cheap when you buy a used one.
>Keyboards feel excellent while typing (yes, even the newer ones).
>Great durability thanks to the inclusion of rollcages and use of glass fiber reinforced plastic for the chassis. The keyboard is splash proof and spilled liquids will drain out.
>Utilitarian design - e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models.
>Docking solutions that easily turns your laptop into a desktop.
>Easy to repair, upgrade and maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for almost every model. Spare parts are easy and cheap to obtain.
>The best trackpoint (that red thing on the middle of the keyboard). Great for those who type a lot or hate swiping their fingers all over a touchpad.
>Excellent GNU/Linux & *BSD support.

Okay /g/ I just need some advice. Yesterday my OPO was stolen at work. It was already due time that I needed a new phone but I can not decide whether to buy the OPO 64GB or OPX? Spec wise I prefer the OPO more but the OPX has compatible micro SD which honestly sells it for me. What do /g/?
