Is the app situation any better?

I've just had my new iPhone stolen and I don't have money for a new one right now.

Android is out of the question for me, especially if its a cheap one.

I need some good news/financial apps and the average social media bullshit.

After installing Arch with LXDE on my phone via Linux Deploy (dedicated EXT4 partition) I felt kind of disappointed.
So I went to set up Debian + XFCE, installed stuff like IceWeasel (Midori wouldn't let me download files) and some other applications for txt files, image viewing and stuff.

Thing is: I don't know what to do with my fresh distro (that I can't do with android alone)

Any advice for software on an ARM Debian distro without graphic acceleration (nor sound) ?

So far the only new features I've noticed are lag, rendering glitches galore, and a new beachball that I see several times every hour.

What do /g/litch-lovers?
