Many tech companies are firing their long time American employees, who poured decades into those companies and built them from the ground up, to hire cheap Indian labor.
They are even forcing them to train their replacements, offering them severance packages if they do.
The H1B1 Visa is specifically meant to fill tech positions in America that Americans are not trained for. Instead companies are using it to hire Indians who will work for 40% less than their American counterparts.
For the last decade, they have taken the lower level work, but now even the higher paid positions requiring more expertise are being taken.
The big roll out among the younger generation to get STEM degrees so they are able to compete globally for science, tech and engineering positions is largely considered useless now, because companies are only hiring third worlders.
Only 26% of STEM graduates are able to find employment after graduation!
>26%Disney has just done this to 200 of its American employees in Florida.
-Toys R Us
-IBM
-Verizon
