I emailed RMS, I was on his site and I noticed he supported Bernie Sanders. My question was along the lines of how do you justify a political position based on FSF ethics. Doesn't the government seem like a non free OS?

I did when the Wii was first hacked, grabbing DVD ISOs in a few minutes was vastly superior to the inconsistency of torrent speeds. Plus, I played enough for it to be worth it.

Haven't used USENET in years though, but been considering opening a new account so I can get a decent sickbeard/couch potato setup on my media setup.

some bugs that reside in debian for years got fixed, because of systemd.

You know, there's a bug in httpd in 5.7 , when 5.8 came out, they could just said "you have to upgrade to newer version, we fix the problem in 5.8". That's the sneaky way to hide bugs.

And no backward compatibility??

Debian Jessie at least can be mostly easily desystemdized post-install, it only takes adding the Devuan repo in and taking some cares about which libraries to substitute. The only component so far that I haven't been able to replace is libsystemd0 but since no program is using it anymore, no big issue. Only had to rebuild a big total of one package, and that was libnmsomethingsomething, and that was because of an admitted omission by the packagers of that version.

(No idea if Debian can be desystemdized pre-install though, unless there is a late_command that does that.)
